In case you missed the email, this Wednesday I'll be sending home the entire reading packet for Animal Folk Tales. It would be helpful to the students if you remove it from the binder and only have the questions they are working on for that week in the front pocket. Students will still turn in the previous week's chapter questions on Monday.
The students are doing a beautiful job on these questions. If your student is doing well with their copy work, you may move to the next "level" which might mean moving from having them copy one line at a time to an entire question or several questions or having them copy the answers you have written on another piece of paper. Please continue to monitor their work for accuracy and excellence and don't be afraid to return to line by line copying if they need it. Our goal here is to practice correct letters, spelling and grammar so much that the students permanently possess that knowledge, as well as increasing stamina when it comes to writing. This will allow them to devote all of their brain power to learning style in writing in future years!
