Math-Please make sure you have switched over to our new set of math facts (40 subtraction problems) sent home in the Fortis Folder last week. The worksheet for Tuesday will be sent home Monday.  We worked through a similar one last week and it's great preparation for what is to come.  A couple of notes: Students should complete this independently (after maybe doing 1-2 problems with you).  Make sure students are splitting up the second number in a way that actually "makes 20".  This is what makes this a useful strategy.  For example, if the equation is 14 + 9, we want to make sure the student is splitting 9 into 6 and 3 because adding 6 to 14 will " make 20" and then we have the simpler problem of 20 + 3.  This will probably make more sense when you look at the worksheet, but please let me know if you have any questions about it!
