Math-Since we are starting multiplication this week, students can forgo the math journal at home, but please still send it to school because we will still use it in class. At home, as your warm up, please make flashcards for the 2 & 3's multiplication facts up to 10 and begin memorizing them. Also there will not be an assessment for Chapter 5 on weight.
Reading- We are now officially transitioning out of review for OPG. Going forward, most lessons will be introduced in class and re-enforced the next day at home. I don't think the "two review, one new" is as important at this stage, particularly if they are reading fluently. If possible, please have them read "Little Pear" out loud to you. If both the OPG lesson and read aloud are taking longer than 30 minutes or you can tell your student is fatiguing, you may want to switch off and have your child read a page and then you read one.
