Memory WorkPsalm 95:1 Due 4/13
Poem: "How Great Thou Art" Due 5/9

Math- The students are doing  a fantastic job on their math facts!  Their diligence and hard work is very evident.  A quick reminder that students need to complete any unfinished problems from school days in order to get full credit.  This is a completion grade so the only reason students wouldn't get full credit would be if their packet is incomplete (unless they have scored 90% or above on school days).

Reading- We are in the home stretch with OPG!  Please continue to have your students read, read, read for practice.  The first round of Stuart Little questions were, overall, very, very good.  I was very impressed.  I was a little lax in grading the first round on handwriting and grammar, but please continue to pay attention to it.  We really want to master the mechanics of writing in second grade so students can focus their energy on style when they get to 3rd grade.  Third grade does not use handwriting paper so please have students practice writing in straight lines.  The most common mistakes I am still seeing are lines that gradually slant downward and not capitalizing the first word in a sentence.
