Please go through and clean out any loose papers, returned work, etc from the campus binders on a regular basis. You can also remove Spelling sheets for steps we have already covered (1-14).
Starting this semester, students will have a silent reading time (15 minutes). I have lots of books in the classroom, but they are welcome to bring one from home also.
Please label every book with student's name (inside the front cover in pencil is fine if you're planning to re-use or sell it).

Math- As a reminder, math facts from the previous week will be collected each Monday, with students receiving a weekly completion grade (students may have anywhere from 2-5 to turn in, depending on mastery). Our first quiz will be Monday, the 24th and then we will move on to completing 70 facts in 5 minutes.
Grammar-We are starting back with Shurley this week and learning about Possessive Pronouns. These can be confusing, especially with Subject Pronouns. I've found just memorizing the lists of the the different types of pronouns helps students the most.
Reading- Please remember to have students narrate what they have read to you from "The Minstrel in the Tower." This helps with retention and participation in our class discussions.
