Math-You may have noticed we have finished with Singapore Dimensions A. Students don't need to bring their workbook or textbook for the last two weeks of the semester. We'll be doing a fair amount of review but I'll have copies for the students. Most of what we're doing we will start in class and then they'll finish and correct at home. The final day of school before the break we will be doing a Mid-Year Assessment and (hint, hint) it is very similar to what they'll bring home this week so be sure and review any problems students miss.
Science-This week we'll be doing a fun lab where we taste and classify (based on their features) fleshy fruits. The foods we'll be tasting are: blueberries, oranges, apples, watermelon and raw almonds. If your student can't have any of those (or you prefer them not to) please let me know.
Christmas Celebration- We'll be having our class Christmas party the Wednesday before we let out of school, December 6th. A sign up for food will be going out shortly (or might already have by the time you see this!) and we will also be doing a classical book exchange. Please have your student bring an age appropriate, wrapped classical book to exchange.
