Minstrel in the Tower - For this book, we are going to deviate from our previous pattern.  I have a discussion guide that I'll be sending home.  Students are not expected to do any written work with this book, so the reading is increasing from two to three chapters a week.  There are a couple of vocabulary words for each chapter that you may want to point out beforehand as the students may not be familiar with some of them.  I've included a simple definition but feel free to elaborate.  As always, students should narrate after they read.  We will actually finish this book in class together on December 7, we'll do a review of the whole book and then I'll give them a short test.  It's not a big deal and nothing to worry about-if they've done the discussion guide with you, they should be fine.  It's mainly to expose them to that type of assessment.
